Position papers submitted for NMUN should adhere to the following: • Length must not exceed two pages single spaced, including references • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt. • Justify the text so both right and left sides have straight edges.
• List “Delegation from [Member State]” in bold on the top left of the first page, and your name on the top right of the first page. • Underneath the “Delegation from” and “Represented by” lines at the top of the first page, include in bold and italics, Position Paper for the League of Arab States. • Include a short introductory paragraph at the beginning of your position paper that introduces the topic on your committee’s agenda and your Member State’s commitment to addressing these topics. • Provide a brief background and global/regional context of the topic (including relevant statistics and information); • Detail what the Arab League, UN, or your Member State have previously done to address the topic (citing treaties, policies, national laws); • Provide broad and specific action that your Member State recommends that the League should take to address the topic going forward. Provide footnotes, endnotes, or in-text parenthetical citations in your position paper, and include a reference list of the cited sources at the end of the paper (APA, MLA, or Chicago/Turabian citation style).
