Nursing Research: One to two page paper synthesizing research study. Paper should include background info on the study. Implications for nursing practice and questions remaining. This is a group project however, only single study from the paper is requested. Attached is criteria and Study. Must be baccalaureate-level writing.

Poster Presentation: Worth 10% 1. Poster is appropriately saved as a PowerPoint slide 10 pts. 2. Background provides enough information for reader to understand the importance of the topic to nursing.

20 pts.

3. Research findings are summarized and presented effectively with tables and graphs.

30 pts.

4. Graphs are legible and properly cited per APA formatting. 10 pts.

5. Implications for nursing practice provided 10 pts.

6. Questions remaining 10 pts. 7. Reference list is provided and legible.

Total 100 pts. Discretionary points will be deducted for spelling and grammar errors.

From Syllabus: The same group will design a research poster electronically that synthesizes and disseminates the findings from the Literature Review. The poster will be submitted the last week of class via drop box. The directions are essentially the same as the paper because you are presenting the same information as the paper but in a different format. The challenge is to present the information on the poster without overwhelming the reader with too much information. Be very brief with the background and summaries.

State the background of the problem in one or two sentences. Tell the reader why we should care about this issue. Summarize the research articles findings in three or four sentences. Use a chart, graph, or table to show the results visually. Discuss the implications for practice from this research. Do the results of these studies support changing our practice at this time or do the limitations of the studies prevent their use? Use one or two sentences for this section. Discuss the questions that remain unanswered. Identify areas for further study.
