Musculoskeletal Take Home Assignment for Anatomy & Physiology 1

This assignment requires the online resource, Anatomy.tv from Primal Pictures. You can access this website in 3 ways.

  1. from within D2L, go the the CONTENT page, open the PRIMAL ACCESS folder, and click on the library proxy link: https://ezproxy.lib.uwm.edu/login? url=http://www.anatomy.tv
  2. Or you can open the UWM Libraries DATABASES A‒Z listing under the SEARCH & FIND link on the UWM Libraries home page (you will have to search the page for the entry for Anatomy.tv, then click on the link).

It will be most useful if you work with this program over the next few weeks and use it to enrich your learning in both the lab and lecture sections of the class. You will also find it useful to help you succeed in a number of other assignments. When you finalize your write-up, be sure to use appropriate terminology for your observations.

For this assignment, I suggest that you work in teams. For these team members, be sure to fill out a copy of the “Working Group Roles” form. If your team submits a single report, then the names of all those who are submitting the file should appear on the top of the document. The names of any other collaborators who are submitting an alternative report should appear at the end of the document. You must report any collaborations within the file you submit to the drop box, even those who are not in your group. Failure to include these notes is an automatic F for this assignment and may result in failing the course. “I didn’t know”; “I didn’t mean to”; “I forgot”; and similar excuses will not be accepted.

Note: You are responsible for the final product that is submitted in your name, even if you are not the one who uploaded it to the drop box. Be sure that the content submitted on your behalf is complete, accurate, and most of all, not copied from another student’s work. If the work submitted in your name is plagiarized — even if you are not the one who submitted it — you will be held accountable for the academic misconduct carried out in your name.

Note: The Anatomy.tv program allows you to save images from the viewer so that you can compare them easily. It might help to save them to your computer while you are completing this assignment. It is not necessary to include those images in your final report.

You will use a D2L “quiz” to locate the questions that you will answer on this assignment. You will find larger copies of the specific images on D2L in the CONTENT page, in the

subfolder with the title IMAGES FOR THE MUSCULOSKELETAL TAKE-HOME.

Remember: Whenever you have used the text, illustrations, or the ideas of an outside resource, you are required to report where the original material is located. Failure to do so constitutes plagiarism — which is grounds for failure in the entire course! However, using the text, lab materials, and the publisher’s website does not require documentation unless you quote the material directly.
