Each student will submit a short research paper that includes references from 5-7 pertinent scholarly readings. You may also use information from either textbook, but they do not count as part of the required sources. The paper should be 5-7 pages and should be well thought out, organized research paper that explains your research topic. Keep in mind that it should explain in greater detail what you are trying to convey in your poster. It will be evaluated on research, understanding of the material, and writing skills (syntax, grammar, organization, etc). Also, students must cite all information borrowed from any sources. If a student does not cite her/his sources, she/he is plagiarizing and, consequently, will receive 0 credit for the assignment. Cite all information borrowed throughout the essay and include a works cited page. Follow Chicago Manual research, writing and citation standards.
