Purpose: A key skill for organisational change is to understand “what needs changing” in an organisation by accurately diagnosing change problems. This requires the application of frameworks to understand the complexity and inter-relatedness of organisational components operating at different levels of the organisation. Coupled with this is the ability for Change champions to feedback and concisely present diagnostic results to all stakeholders.

Approaching Task 2
Think about an organisation that you are associated with/worked for in part time or full-time capacity or your friends, relatives have worked for. Reflecting on the organisation, you may have a great change idea, ranging from a small system change request, to reorganizing a flow of work, or even creating some templates for all to use. You are sure it is going to yield great benefits for the organisation, and you are ready to make it happen. But how challenging will the change management process be?
The problem is, for the change management process to be a success, your co-workers and management need to support the idea. In addition, they must also be willing to change their habits. Hence correctly so, you have identified the change maybe small, but to transition a group of people, is a BIG process.
You are required to; identify the change problem, justify the need for change, and undertake a diagnosis analysis of the change inherent in the chosen organisation using a diagnostic model covered in this unit.
From your case analysis, you are required to prepare a presentation which distils the findings from your organisational change diagnosis. As a Change Agent, you are trying to convince various stakeholders that the organisation needs to address several important challenges if it is to be successful. This assessment task is designed to show your understanding of how to develop a change diagnosis using a diagnostic tool and how to present your diagnosis to organisational stakeholders.
